My name is Hannah and I am the founder and the primary training consultant of Wright Way Training. I have an extensive care background of over 15 years, I have a first class honours degree in Health and Social Care as well as being a qualified teacher and trainer with over 5 years experience.
My care background I have worked in various care settings and with a variety of service users. I have worked in a number of roles from a Healthcare Assistant in a large hospital on a busy surgical ward through to the role of a Care Manager providing a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities. I have also worked as a compliance consultant, helping care services that have been rated as requiring improvement or inadequate, working in partnership with those care managers and their staff to improve their quality assurance systems, providing training to strengthen their weaker areas and assisting them to improve on their CQC rating. I continue to work as a Healthcare Assistant for NHS Somerset Foundation Trust, this allows me to keep my clinical skills current and provides me with plenty of examples to refer to when training others.
My teaching/training background
I am a Level 4 qualified teacher and trainer. I having previously delivered training to residential and nursing homes, retirement homes, community care services, GP surgeries etc. I have a strong understanding of the Care Certificate which I have been delivering training on and assessing for several years now, I have also delivered apprenticeships and NVQ's. I have most recently worked as a lecturer for a further education college delivering health, social care and science courses to 16-19 year olds at level 2 and 3 including the new T-Levels.
Why choose Wright Way Training? From my background you can be rest assured that I have an in-depth knowledge of the expectations of CQC and what they are looking for when inspecting healthcare settings. Not only this, but I have an understanding of the role of your staff from a managers point of view and as a carer. I have been where you are now, I know the pressures you are under but I also recognise the importance of supporting your staff, helping them to grow whilst improving and then maintaining the quality of care for your service users. I am incredibly passionate about providing teaching and training to our future healthcare workers in a way that motivates and excites them. I am a firm believer that learning should be fun, engaging and empowering. With my experience I can empathise and I can provide real world examples from my own practice. I believe in providing a positive training experience for my clients, which can only result in positive outcomes.
